The Pitaka PitaFlow for iPad Pro offers a wide ecosystem of magnetic accessories to make working with the new iPad Pro more seamless and efficient and introduces wireless charging to Apple's largest tablet. Here's how it works.

We know that the iPad is a fantastic work tool in general and that the iPad Pro takes mobile working to a new level. But working with tablets isn't always as easy as it could be. To make things easier for iPad owners, Pitaka has developed "PitaFlow for Tablets", a collection of accessories and items that use magnets to simplify working at home or in the office. The MagEZ Case Pro uses Pitaka's contact-based charging system, which is integrated into the case and the MagEZ Charging Stand. With a case like the MagEZ Case Pro, you can not only protect and wirelessly charge your iPad Pro, but also connect it to other accessories from the MagEZ series, such as the MagEZ Folio.

Pitaka MagEZ Case Pro for iPad Pro

The MagEZ Case Pro is a protective case for the iPad Pro that works with the rest of the PitaFlow accessory system. Magnets in strategic locations allow it to connect to other accessories such as the MagEZ Charging Stand and MagEZ Folio, while being fully compatible with the Apple Magic Keyboard.

It is extremely portable as well as productive. Although Apple did not equip the iPad Pro with wireless charging, you can charge it yourself using the MagEZ Case Pro. The "X" on the back connects to the contacts on the MagEZ Charging Stand, allowing the iPad to be charged while still being perfectly comfortable in your hand. After initial trials with cases for the iPad mini 6, it was found that using the USB-C port for charging limited access for other purposes. However, Pitaka's engineering department has made changes to make it even easier to use. The MagEZ Case Pro covers the Type-C port to allow wireless charging. Simply removing the cover allows the Type-C port to be used when needed.

There are also numerous color options for the design of the case to give the iPad Pro a personal touch. The MagEZ Case Pro is compatible with the iPad Pro 2021 and 2022 and costs 114.99 euros. For the smaller iPad mini, the MagEZ Case Pro for iPad mini 6 offers many of the same benefits as the iPad Pro version. It is made of durable aramid fiber and has shock-absorbing airbags on all corners. The case also features magnets that allow it to be attached to the MagEZ Charging Stand. For even more convenience, you can also charge the case wirelessly with the included PitaFlow charger.

You also get a removable Apple Pencil clip so you can take your pencil with you wherever you go. The MagEZ Case Pro for the iPad mini 6 costs 99 euros. Pitaka also offers a similar case, the MagEZ Case 2, but it doesn't have the X charging module on the back and doesn't support wireless charging with the charging station. Otherwise, it works like the MagEZ Case Pro. The price for the MagEZ Case 2 is 89.99 euros.

If you want to raise your iPad Pro to eye level to improve ergonomics, you can do so with the MagEZ Charging Stand. We have already the first version of it tested in 2021. The MagEZ Stand is similar to the MagEZ Charging Stand in many ways. You don't have a contact charging element to wirelessly charge the connected iPad Pro, but all other functions are available. But let's get back to the new model. The MagEZ Charging Stand is a raised holder that allows you to hold your iPad at eye level - this is also useful if you want to turn it into a monitor or stream while you work. The MagEZ Case Pro for the iPad Pro can be magnetically attached to the MagEZ Stand, without any annoying clips or annoying bars.

It supports both portrait and landscape modes and has an adjustable vertical angle from -5 degrees to 32.5 degrees. When you use the MagEZ Case Pro with the MagEZ Charging Stand, you can power the connected iPad Pro while holding it in front of you without having to connect a USB-C cable.

To make the MagEZ Charging Stand even more practical, a wireless Qi charger is also integrated into the base, so you can charge your iPhone or AirPods while working with your iPad Pro. The MagEZ Charging Stand is available in black for around 159.99 euros while the white version is available for 189.00 euros is offered.

Conclusion

If you are a big design fan and have a Pitaka case, then this iPad stand is absolutely fantastic. I love the quality of the build and the fact that you can rotate the iPad and charge your accessories wirelessly. It is a great way to maximize space with the stand. The MagEZ Charging Stand makes the iPad feel more like a laptop. I highly recommend the stand to anyone who likes to have and use their iPad on their desk - to the shop. (Image: Pitaka)
