These products may be more expensive than expected

In September it's time - Apple's keynote, the hottest show of the year, is as sure as day. The rumor mill has already told us that we can expect a large range of products again this year.

MacBook

According to a recent report from Digitimes, the upcoming products could be even more expensive than expected. Apple originally planned to introduce a new entry-level MacBook for under $1,000. The planned notebook is now expected to cost around $1,200. Since Intel had to postpone the introduction of its 10 nm processors until 2019, Apple is forced to take this step.

AirPower

Apple's AirPower charging mat is also said to be more expensive than initially thought. Earlier reports said it would cost $150 - now AirPower is said to be available for between $160 and $190.

The iPhones, iPads and the fourth generation of the Apple Watch are also expected to be more expensive than previously expected. We will find out in a few weeks whether Apple will dig deeper into its customers' wallets or not.

Apple devices here aren't test units for a fortnight but everyday tools: from the iPhone to the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac through to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it goes live.
