If a leaker is to be believed, Apple is sticking to its plan to introduce new MacBook Pro models and AirPods 3 before the end of the year. In addition, he hints at AirPods Pro 2 and new iPad Pro models for 2022.
In his latest “Powers On” newsletter output Bloomberg journalist and Apple leaker Mark Gurman claims that there are still a few products to be introduced in 2021, including new MacBook Pro models and AirPods 3. In fact, it is claimed that Apple is planning a second event, which could take place in October. Looking ahead to 2022, Gurman is predicting more products. He believes that Apple will introduce a new Mac Pro with Apple Silicon chip and a brand new MacBook Air. A new iPad Pro with a glass back and support for wireless charging is also expected to follow.
In addition to AirPods, Macs and iPad, the first mixed reality headset could also be introduced
But that's not all. According to his sources, the second generation of AirPods Pro will also be released in 2022. The new earbuds could feature motion sensors for fitness tracking. Regarding the design, Gurman claims that the earbuds could come with shorter stems. However, it's also possible that Apple will remove the stems altogether. Furthermore, he says, it's not out of the question that Apple will finally unveil the mixed reality headset in 2022, which will allow for both VR and AR functions. "True AR glasses," on the other hand, are still a few years away. Accordingly, an exciting 2022 could await us. First, however, we'll have to keep an eye out for a second fall event.
