Will Apple introduce a foldable iPhone? This is a question that some fans have been asking themselves since Samsung's first release - the Galaxy Fold. If that happens, Apple will certainly do it better. But let's get back to the original question. Yes, Apple is working on foldable iPhones - this is proven by various Apple patents. Whether such a device will ever be introduced remains to be seen. Now the well-known leaker Jon Prosser has reported back. As some of you know, he has pretty good sources. His leaks sometimes surpass old hands like Ming-Chi Kuo. Whether his sources are actually directly with Apple However, it remains open – but it is to be assumed. Whatever. Now he has the topic of foldable iPhones on Twitter briefly addressed and explained the following:
It doesn't look like two iPhones connected
Apple’s “foldable” iPhone isn’t really a foldable iPhone.
The current prototype has two separate displays on a hinge.

According to reports, the current iPhone prototype does not have the flexible or foldable display, but instead has two screens. This makes the whole thing comparable to the Microsoft Surface Duo – at least as things stand. However, the approach seems to be much more clever than Samsung's solution. By separating it, Apple could avoid design problems and reduce the risk of wear and tear that occurs with repeated opening and closing – a problem that Samsung is struggling with. Prosser emphasized, however, that the device does not look like two iPhones have been joined together. This means that when the iPhone is unfolded, it should look like one device, "fairly continuous and seamless."
Apple will do better
In this scenario, the well-known notch also seems to be history. Nobody can currently predict when such a foldable iPhone will actually be introduced. It also remains unknown how far the development progress actually goes. The fact is - if Apple introduces such a model, we can be sure that it will beat competing products.
