Renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already revealed details about the next MacBook Pro generation disclosedNow he has found out more details about new iPhones.

According to the analyst, Apple is aggressively testing the use of vapor chamber (VC) technology. Specifically, it is said to be a vapor chamber thermal system. In general, vapor chamber (VC) technology involves the evaporation of a liquid (typically water) in a special heat pipe or heat retention structure that snakes through a device's casing. Heat from processors and other high-stress electronic components causes the liquid to evaporate and the thermal energy is dispersed through the evaporation chamber on its way to areas of lower pressure. Fins or other condenser bodies remove the heat from the vapor, which returns to a liquid state and is transported back to areas of high pressure by capillary action.

iPhone 2021 with VC technology: Apple could increase computing power and more

According to the report, Apple has been researching the technology for some time. But so far no system has been able to meet the company's high requirements.

The key reason why the iPhone does not use VC is the reliability test results, which do not meet Apple's high standards. Nevertheless, we are optimistic about the timeline for improving VC reliability and expect that at least the high-end iPhone models will be equipped with VC in the near future.

The reason for Apple's efforts lies in the 5G integration and the ever-increasing thermal load on the CPU. An improved thermal system will enable the tech giants enable increased computing power and increased component durability to stay one step ahead of the smartphone crowd.
