According to a display analyst, the display of the “iPad mini 6” will be enlarged to 8.3 inches, as it will have narrower bezels and no home button.
Loud Ross Young According to Display Supply Chain Consultants, the next-generation iPad mini will have an 8.3-inch display, up from the current 7.9-inch display. The larger screen will likely fit in the same footprint as the current models. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously predicted that the new iPad mini could have a screen size between 8.5- and 9-inches.
iPad mini 6: Biggest redesign in history
The lack of a home button and a possible fall market launch were also hinted at by Bloomberg back in July. The iPad mini 6, which Bloomberg says could represent the "biggest redesign in the model's nine-year history," will feature the same chassis as the iPad Air and iPad Pro. Furthermore, the mini tablet could feature the A15 chip and utilize USB-C. Touch ID is expected to be located in the sleep/wake button.
