The next Worldwide Developer Conference starts on June 6th. The presentation of iOS 16, tvOS 16 and more is expected. Now further details have emerged.

In the latest edition of his “Power On” newsletter, Mark Gurman has provided further details on iOS 16 and tvOS 16 revealedGurman had previously reported that Apple will bring updates to the Health app, Control Center, and "major improvements to the lock screen, including wallpapers with widget-like functionality" with iOS 16. Gurman also explained that iOS 16 will support an always-on lock screen in the future, which is reportedly reserved for the iPhone 14 Pro models - more about it hereThe journalist does not expect an "iOS 7-like redesign in iOS 16 and iPadOS 16." But he does expect "major changes to windows and multitasking, especially on the iPad." However, there is more to report about iOS 16 and tvOS 16. Gurman writes:

WWDC 2022: Apple will present iOS 16 and Co.

In Messages, I expect more social network-like features, especially for audio messages. The Apple TV operating system tvOS will get more smart home features while the Mac will get some redesigned apps and a much-needed overhaul of System Preferences to make them more consistent with iOS's settings, including organizing settings by app.

The Bloomberg journalist believes that the Health app "probably won't be expanded to the iPad and Mac." But it will "get a lot of new features that work with the iPhone in iOS 16 and the Apple Watch." Finally, Gurman explains that Apple will not introduce any new hardware at WWDC 2022. If the company changes its mind, the only candidate would be the completely redesigned MacBook Air with the M2 chip. (Photo by Unsplash / Jeremy Bezanger)
