First and foremost, the new Beats Pill is a portable Bluetooth speaker. While we haven't heard what the unannounced and unreleased product sounds like, at least on paper, the 2024 Beats Pill is a sonically upgrade over the 2015 Beats Pill+.
- Improved volume and bass: The 2024 Beats Pill will sound louder, have stronger bass, and exhibit better tonality. The redesigned Racetrack woofer drives 28 % more motor power, displacing 90 % more air volume, while reducing low-end distortion.
- High-quality tweeters: The redesigned tweeter has its own secured housing for greater stability, crisp highs and rich mid-tones.
- Optimal alignment: The speaker can also be tilted upwards by 20 degrees so that the sound goes directly to your ears and away from objects that are in the way.
New features
While good sound is key to good Bluetooth speakers, features and compatibility are just as important to creating outstanding products. The Beats Pill 2024 offers a number of tricks and advantages over the discontinued Beats Pill+.
- Longer battery life: The new Beats Pill doubles the battery life from up to 12 hours to up to 24 hours.
- IP67 certification: The IP67 certification makes the speaker dust and waterproof, which was not the case with previous models.

While the Beats Pill+ was originally sold in black or white, with red later added, the new Beats Pill will be available in three colors: black, gold, and red.
