A new report about Apple's upcoming streaming service suggests that not all preparations are complete - Hollywood hasn't said yes yet.
The coming Apple Keynote has been eagerly awaited for weeks. The event will take place on March 25th under the motto “It's show time” will take place. In addition to new hardware, new subscription services are also expected. Hotly debated and particularly exciting: the new streaming service - the name itself has not yet been announced. According to a new report from Bloomberg, Apple is in the final stages of preparation. Negotiations with Hollywood are apparently not yet complete - this could further limit the selection of series and films at launch. An agreement is also important because there will be little exclusive content to begin with. For example, Apple will have to rely on third-party material for the time being. How large the portfolio will be at launch remains unknown. According to Bloomberg, negotiations are expected to last until the end of this week. The reason for the delay is the skepticism of film studios towards Apple's plans. They are said to be unsure whether such a collaboration will pay off. It also remains unknown which film studios have already agreed to participate.
According to Bloomberg, most exclusive productions will not be broadcast until autumn. It remains to be seen whether Apple will succeed in entering the streaming market - competitor Netflix is said to have no concerns so far.
