Rumor has it that Apple plans to unveil a fourth-generation iPad Pro and a successor to the iPhone SE in spring 2020. A new report reiterates previously known information and confirms once again that we will see new devices in a few months.
Among all market observers worldwide, the well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman enjoy the highest reputation when it comes to predictions about Apple. Both can stand out with an excellent hit rate. Now Kuo has spoken out again in a note to investors. Accordingly, he once again confirms his own predictions and the recent report by Gurmanthat Apple is planning to present an iPhone SE 2 and iPad Pro 4. According to his information, both devices will definitely be released in the first half of 2020. Since Apple often holds an event in March, followed by the WWDC in June, both dates are possible. But the March keynote seems more realistic to most observers for such product announcements - we also assume that Apple could announce both products as part of this spring keynote.
There are now no more doubts
In his note, he again mentioned that the next-generation iPad Pro will feature a 3D camera based on Time-of-Flight technology. This technology is similar in principle to the infrared TrueDepth camera system found in current iPhones since the X series, which enables facial recognition. Using the Time-of-Flight (TOF) method, the sensor calculates the time it takes light to reach a surface – thus, it can determine depth information and thus create more precise images. It is still unknown what the iPhone SE successor will actually be called. It is not expected that the new entry-level device will be called the iPhone SE 2, as it is expected to feature the iPhone 8 design. The term "iPhone SE 2" is therefore used only for orientation. You can find out everything we know so far about the SE successor here. here. In today's report, Kuo did not provide any new details. The note simply serves to emphasize again what we can expect from Apple in the foreseeable future. Since Kuo and Bloomberg have confirmed this process, we can now assume that the predictions will come true exactly as they are. (Photo by Jirapong Manustrong / Bigstockphot)
