Apple plans to introduce new high-end over-ear headphones this year that are not from the Beats brand but from Apple itself. The name and price were unknown for a long time - but now there are new details - Apple AirPods Studio.
Youtuber and newcomer among Apple leakers, Jon Prosser, has revealed new details about Apple’s upcoming over-ear headphones on Twitter revealed. The new audio accessories will be called “AirPods Studio” and will cost around $349. Both the name and price were unknown for a long time. However, rumors about the headphones have been circulating for a good two years. They are said to complement the AirPods lineup and, unlike the Studio Beats, will be modular. This means, according to reports, there will be two versions that users can customize at any time. One is aimed at sporting activities, while the other will be used for other occasions.
AirPods Studio: The price is surprising
Regarding the official announcement, Prosser already presented the Dub Dub (WWDC 2020) in sight. Apple could unveil the product at the developer conference. The sales launch, however, remains unknown. Some sources believe it won't begin before fall, however. The price stated by Prosser is also somewhat surprising. Until now, observers had expected at least $400. Little is known about the other features. However, it can be assumed that the AirPods Studio will have at least all the features found in the AirPods Pro. Whether Prosser will be right once again remains to be seen.
