The new operating systems offer some interesting new features. Yesterday we discovered that under watchOS 7, Force Touch is no longer supports At the same time, two well-known functions were added.

watchOS 7 will introduce various new functions However, there are some changes that Apple did not mention during yesterday's keynote, including the integration of "battery health management" and "announce messages with Siri." Similar to the iPhone, the Apple Watch will now also display the battery level in percent. Apple explains:

Apple Watch batteries, like all rechargeable batteries, are consumable components that become less effective with age. This is a measure of a battery's capacity compared to when it was new. Lower capacity may result in fewer hours of use between charges.

"Announce messages with Siri"

On the iPhone, Apple reduces performance when the maximum capacity is too low to maintain battery life and avoid unexpected shutdowns. It is not currently known whether watchOS 7 will do the same for the Apple Watch. In addition to the battery status, the "Optimized Charging" function known from the iPhone has also been integrated into watchOS 7. When optimized battery charging is activated, the smartwatch learns routine use to interrupt battery charging if users do not use it for a longer period of time. useThe same option is now available for AirPods on iOS 14 available. In addition, Apple Watch owners will receive the "Announce Messages with Siri" feature in the future. This means that if AirPods are connected to the smartwatch, Siri will read out incoming text messages that can be answered using voice commands. The first beta of watchOS 7 is currently available for developers - a preview for public testers will be added in July. (Image: Apple)
