As expected, Apple introduced the new operating system tvOS 13 for Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K at WWDC 2019.

With tvOS 13, the Apple TV experience is significantly improved. The new functions allow users to experience the TV box even more comprehensively. In the future, games can be played under tvOS 13 with a Playstation 4 or Xbox joystick. Apple thus gives users more freedom when controlling games. In addition, tvOS 13 will include a personalized Apple Music app with lyrics.

New home screen & multi-user support

In addition to the revised music experience, users of an Apple TV HD or Apple TV 4K or newer will have access to their own Up Next list in the TV app for the first time. The highlight of the new features for the Apple TV is multi-user support. The TV box's home screen will also be revised. The Apple TV 4K will receive beautiful underwater HDR screensavers produced in collaboration with BBC Natural History. The new tvOS 13 will be released this fall. (Image: Apple)
