A new Battlefield experience will be released on iPhone and iPad in 2022 as a standalone game with a skill-based experience. EA has now officially confirmed this.

First-person shooter games have become very popular due to their competitive nature and fast-paced action. Battlefield will soon join Call of Duty and PUBG as a popular mobile shooter game. EA announced on Thursday that console game developer Dice will be working closely with mobile developer Industrial Toys. In the notice is it [called:

Battlefield Mobile: A-series processors are very powerful

Make no mistake, this is a standalone game. A completely different game to the ones we make for console and PC, specifically designed for the mobile platform. It's being built from the ground up by iToys to make Battlefield-on-the-go a reality and you can expect a fully-fledged, skill-based experience.

Apple has already argued that its A-series processors are powerful enough to bring console gaming experiences to mobile. The A14, found in the iPhone 12 and iPad Air 4, is powerful and can easily keep up with similar Android offerings. Meanwhile, Apple has unveiled a new iPad Pro with an M1 processor, bringing a whole new level of graphics performance to the platform. EA did not share any further details about the game in the wake of the announcement. (Image: Electronic Arts / Battlefield)
