Apple has now announced that the company will announce its results for the first fiscal quarter of 2023 on Thursday, February 2nd. There will also be the usual conference call with CEO Tim Cook and CFO Luca Maestri.

The investor conference call, which usually takes place shortly after Apple's financial results are released, will be held half an hour later. In the call, which will be streamed on the investor website, executives will discuss results for the three-month period ending in December 2022. Side note: Apple's fiscal year begins on October 1 and ends on September 30.

Q1/2023: Apple's Christmas business in focus

Cook and Maestri are expected to discuss Apple’s overall financial situation report and break down the individual segments for the three months ended in December. last In its October quarterly results, Apple announced that revenue rose 8.1 percent year-over-year to $90.15 billion. iPhone revenue rose to $42.6 billion, Mac revenue rose to $11.5 billion, wearables, home and accessories revenue rose to $9.65 billion, services revenue rose to $19.2 billion, and iPad revenue rose slightly to $7.174 billion. Last quarter, Apple introduced a number of popular models, including the iPhone 14 line, Apple Watch Series 8, the second-generation Apple Watch SE, and Apple Watch Ultra.

However, since they only launched in late September, the first quarter results will be the first where the collection will have a significant impact on Apple's bottom line. Announcing the latest figures, Luca Maestri said the numbers "continue to demonstrate our ability to operate effectively despite a difficult and volatile macroeconomic environment." These "challenging and volatile" elements are best illustrated by the disruptions in Zhengzhou, which are affecting shipments of the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. Analysts believe the ongoing issues could lead to a decline in iPhone shipments of as much as 20 million units this quarter. (Photo by Zatevakhin / Bigstockphoto)
