The time has finally come. Apple has introduced the brand new AirPods Pro via press release.
The launch of the third generation of AirPods has been hinted at in recent days. Now the time has finally come. Apple has introduced the new AirPods Pro in a press release. The press release states:
“AirPods are the world's best-selling headphones. Their one-tap setup experience, incredible sound, and iconic design have made them a beloved Apple product, and with AirPods Pro, we're taking the magic even further.” – said Phil Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of worldwide marketing.
The new AirPods Pro come in a completely new in-ear design and feature noise cancellation in two different modes. Users can choose between active noise cancellation and transparency mode. On the subject of noise cancellation, Apple writes the following:
"Active Noise Cancellation in AirPods Pro uses two microphones combined with advanced software to continuously adapt to the individual fit of the ear and earbud. This removes background noise to deliver a uniquely customized, high-quality noise-cancelling experience that allows a user to focus on what they're listening to—whether it's a favorite song or a phone call."

Pairing the new AirPods Pro with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple TV is the same as with their predecessors. In addition to the plugs, the charging case also has a new shape - it is now elongated. Apple describes the sound quality as excellent.
"AirPods Pro deliver superior sound quality with Adaptive EQ, which automatically tunes the low and mid frequencies of music to the shape of each ear—resulting in an intense, immersive listening experience. A custom high-dynamic-range amplifier produces pure, incredibly clear sound while extending battery life and powers a custom, high-excursion, low-distortion speaker driver that optimizes audio quality and removes background noise." – says the company.
AirPods Pro – Features
Transparency mode is primarily intended for users on the road. It allows them to listen to music and traffic simultaneously without endangering the user. The AirPods Pro feature the H1 chip, which offers a whopping 10 audio cores. In addition to the new features, the AirPods Pro also offer all the existing functions. This means that the "Hey Siri" command can also be executed. They also support new features like "Announce Messages with Siri," audio sharing, and more. There's also some news regarding battery life. The new charging case provides a total of 24 hours of battery life—the earbuds themselves last 4.5 hours per charge. The charging case can, of course, also be charged wirelessly—alternatively, it can be charged with a Lightning cable as before. The new AirPods Pro are also sweat- and water-resistant, but are not suitable for water sports.
