The time has come. The new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro can now be pre-ordered from Apple.
Apple today announced further details about the Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro in a press release. The start of the pre-order phase was confirmed. The notice:
The new Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro is available to order now on apple.com and will begin arriving next week. Magic Keyboard brings a whole new level of versatility and capability to iPad Pro and is the best way to experience the new trackpad support introduced with iPadOS 13.4.
"Unique cantilevered hinges"
The Magic Keyboard is compatible with the 2018 and 2020 iPad Pro models. It features a scissor keyboard paired with a trackpad and a built-in USB-C port. Apple describes the new Magic Keyboard as a "floating design with stepless angle adjustment." It attaches magnetically to the iPad Pro and has "unique cantilever hinges" that allow it to be adjusted up to 130 degrees. The keyboard also has a backlight. The Magic Keyboard can be purchased for both the 11-inch and 12.9-inch models. The smaller version costs 339 euros while the larger version costs a whopping 399 euros.
