WhatsApp has submitted a new update via the TestFlight beta program, which shows that the company is testing different playback speeds of voice messages.
According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp version 2.21.60.11 is not yet ready for the public. However, the website has now revealed a preview of the function that could appear in a future update. According to the preview, it will be possible to listen to a voice message faster in the future. The playback speed is to be accelerated to 1.5x or optionally 2.0x. WABetaInfo has revealed what this could look like via Twitter shown.

WhatsApp: listen to voice messages faster
Whether this will be the final configuration is unknown. This means that WhatsApp could still make changes during the beta. But who might like this feature? Probably those who listen to longer voice messages and don't want to spend a lot of time pondering over them—i.e., "ahs," "ohs," etc. (I know a few candidates for that, too.) Be that as it may. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp will also offer a web beta program for iOS and Android beta users. When exactly this will be introduced is unknown, however. The company recently announced the Support for iOS 9 (iPhone 4S) has been discontinued. From now on, iOS 10 or later is required to use WhatsApp on the iPhone.
