Apple has already made some improvements in the last year to make the use of subscriptions more transparent and clear. Now a new feature has been added to the second beta of iOS 13 discovered that resembles a warning.
Many people know this – a subscription was signed up and then forgotten. Month after month you pay but no one notices. Then you want to clean up your iPhone and delete unnecessary apps – but the subscription remains forgotten. App providers with subscription models are of course happy about such cases. But now this is set to change in iOS 13, as Federico Viticci – founder of Macstories.net – was able to discover. Viticci was the first to discover the function and informed about it directly on Twitter. Accordingly, the user will be iOS 13 warned when deleting an app that has an active in-app subscription. When deleting an application, a pop-up window will appear immediately explaining the subscription options.
App subscription management has been improved
The user is informed that the respective subscription remains active despite the application being deleted and can be used on other devices. However, the notification also offers the option to quickly switch to the "Manage Subscriptions" interface, where such packages can be canceled.
Earlier this year, Apple made a change to its iOS subscription sign-up process to make it more difficult to accidentally "sign in." It also revised its general App Store subscription guidelines, requiring developers to clearly and clearly label subscription models. Want to manage your App Store subscriptions?
