Microsoft plans to unify its Xbox and Xbox Game Pass apps on iPhone and iPad. This change is intended to improve the user experience by bringing all of its key features into a single app. Starting in November, the Xbox Game Pass app for iOS devices will be removed and replaced by the more comprehensive Xbox app.

According to an official announcement According to Microsoft, the new all-in-one app will be released "soon" and will be available on both iOS and Android devices. This integration of the apps is a step to streamline the user experience and give you access to all of the key Xbox services in a single app.

Features of the new Xbox app

The new Xbox app will integrate all the features of the previous Xbox Game Pass app, so you can control everything you need from a single platform:

  • Manage Game Pass membership: You can easily view and manage your Game Pass membership in the app.
  • Browse the game catalog: With the app you have access to the entire Game Pass game catalog and can quickly find new games.
  • Take advantage of discounts: The app shows you exclusive offers and discounts for Game Pass members that you can take advantage of directly.

Discontinuation of the Xbox Game Pass app on iOS

With the launch of the new app, the Xbox Game Pass app will be removed from the App Store starting in November, so iPhone and iPad users should switch to the new Xbox app to continue to have access to all Game Pass features.
