Apple's Safari browser has a built-in password suggestion feature on iOS, iPadOS and macOS. With iOS 16, iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura, this feature is even more convenient than before.
All three platforms now have the ability to edit a strong password suggested by Apple that is tailored to a website's specific needs. Websites sometimes have requirements for creating passwords that include special characters, do not allow special characters, require a certain length, or require other customizations that are not met by the strong password requirements.
macOS Ventura & iOS 16 provide more flexibility
You can tap a suggested password and select the "Other Options" interface to access the "Edit Strong Password" interface. From here, you can change the suggested characters. You can also choose the "Easy to Type" or "No Special Characters" quick access option. In macOS Monterey, iOS 15, and iPadOS 15, there are no options for suggested passwords other than using them or creating your own. Whether your device is compatible with the new software, you can find out here. (Photo by New Africa / Bigstockphoto)
