Rumors about the third generation of AirPods are nothing new – but now there is the first official confirmation thanks to the iOS 13.2 beta.
Will the AirPods 3 have noise cancellation or not? Probably yes – at least that's what the current iOS 13.2 beta suggests. If new products are found in the code of a beta, then it's only a matter of time before they appear. And when will the AirPods 3 be released? Yesterday, some would have guessed next year – now even this month is conceivable – after all, we're expecting another Apple keynote. But now back to the iOS 13.2 code. A previously unknown icon was discovered in the new beta. It shows a pair of AirPods, which could possibly even come with a rubber tip. According to the code, the designation for the new AirPods generation is said to be "B298". But that's not all – the discovery confirms speculation that the new AirPods could finally have noise cancellation – a feature that many fans have been missing.
Pictures are said to show prototype of the AirPods 3
The new discovery also reveals that the new AirPods will have multiple listening modes—one of which is said to be called "Focus Mode." A few images uploaded to Slashleaks by the website 52audio.com just a few weeks ago show what the new AirPods 3 might look like in real life.
At the time, no one took the leak seriously – but today, compared to the beta icon, the images are taken much more seriously – it is said to be a prototype of the AirPods 3.
