Kaufland has long offered its own mobile phone plans. But now the grocery retailer has switched partners. Effective immediately, it offers "Kaufland mobil," which operates on the Deutsche Telekom network.
Kaufland previously offered "K-Classic Mobil" plans, which were available on the Telefonica mobile network. These plans are no longer available due to a change of partner. Deutsche Telekom is now the supermarket chain's cooperation partner, replacing Telefonica. "Kaufland mobil" offers new smartphone plans that can also be used by existing customers. Five individual plans are available, four of which include a data flat rate with an LTE option (max. 25 Mbit/s). The contract term is limited to four weeks and, as is usual with prepaid plans, can be extended by topping up the credit. The options are:
- basic – No basic fee, 9 cents per minute to all German networks. Each SMS is charged at 9 cents and the data volume can be booked flexibly.
- SMART XS – This tariff costs 4.99 euros (every 4 weeks) and includes 100 minutes to all German networks. SMS messages cost 9 cents each. The data volume is 1 GB with LTE (max. 25 Mbit/s).
- SMART S – This tariff costs 7.99 euros (every 4 weeks) and includes an all-network flat rate and SMS flat rate. The data volume is 3 GB with LTE (max. 25 Mbit/s).
- SMART M – This tariff costs 12.99 euros (every 4 weeks) and includes an all-network flat rate and SMS flat rate. The data volume is 5 GB with LTE (max. 25 Mbit/s).
- SMART L – This tariff costs 19.99 euros (every 4 weeks) and includes an all-network flat rate and SMS flat rate. The data volume is 7 GB with LTE (max. 25 Mbit/s).
“K-Classic Mobil” customers can go to “Kaufland mobile” via the customer portal or the customer hotline and keep your phone number with you. A switching bonus is guaranteed until July 31, 2020. (Photo by Grand Warszawski / Bigstockphoto)
