To mark the launch of the iPhone 12, accessory manufacturer Pitaka has introduced new protective cases for Apple's brand new smartphones. What's special about them is that they also work with Apple's MagSafe technology.

Some of you may remember my MagCase review. The case from Pitaka stands out due to its quality. As a reminder: The uniquely thin iPhone cases are made from aramid fiber. Pitaka explains the whole thing as follows:

Aramid fiber: Developed for aerospace

Aramid is short for "aromatic polyamide". It is a class of man-made strong synthetic fibers with high performance. They were originally developed and used for aerospace or military applications. The molecules of these fibers are characterized by relatively stiff polymer chains. These molecules are connected by strong hydrogen bonds that transfer mechanical stress very efficiently, making it possible to use chains with relatively low molecular weight. The aramid fiber is thinner than the average human hair and has a characteristic yellow color. It can be woven and dyed for various patterns.

I was so convinced that I equipped all my iPhones with Pitaka cases. One even saved my iPhone 11 Pro. Now the company has expanded both the MagEZ Case and Air Case collection for the iPhone 12 series. Accordingly, protective cases for all four iPhone 12 models are now available on Amazon. The cost of the MagEZ Case is 49.99 euros, while the Air Case costs 59.99 euros.

Pitaka: The magnetic card holder is coming

As already mentioned above, the Pitaka cases also harmonize with Apple's latest MagSafe technology. Since the accessories manufacturer has been using magnetic technology for years, Pitaka has a huge advantage over other providers when it comes to MagSafe compatibility. Pitaka cases also impress with their thin and light but still robust design. In addition to the brand new protective cases, the company wants to offer another product in the form of a magnetic card holder with two compartments at the end of next week or the beginning of the week after next.
