With the introduction of the iPhone 12 series, Apple has also reduced the packaging insert. In the future, new iPhone models will be delivered without EarPods and power adapter. The reason for this is environmental concerns - according to Apple.

The iPhone 12 series and all other iPhone and Apple Watch models will be delivered without a power adapter in the future. The included EarPods will also no longer be included. The company made the following statement:

"Just like with Apple Watch, we looked for ways to reduce waste and use fewer materials. Customers already have more than 700 million Lightning headphones, and many customers have switched to a wireless experience with AirPods, Beats or other wireless headphones. Additionally, there are more than 2 billion Apple power adapters in use worldwide, not counting the billions of third-party adapters. That's why we're removing those items from iPhone packaging."

Apple accessories available at a lower price

While some fans accept the decision, many users are angry. A big discussion was of course the logical result. Now the accessories in question have to be purchased separately acquired It should be noted that Apple has reduced prices. EarPods now cost 18.50 euros, while the 20-watt power adapter (previously 18W) costs 24.35 euros. So anyone who actually needs the corresponding accessories will have to accept the new policy. The Lightning to USB-C cable will remain part of the iPhone packaging. Have you seen it yet? Amazon Prime Day 2020 (13 & 14 October) has started.
