The A14 chip will be the heart of this year's iPhone 12 series. Even before the new top smartphones were introduced, the new processor made its debut in the iPad Air 4. Now the first benchmark has been published. Apple didn't promise too much.

Even before the iPad Air 4 officially goes on sale, a benchmark has been published that proves the significant increase in performance. The new Apple tablet is around 40 percent faster than its predecessor - that's what Apple claims. writes the leaker Ice Universe:

The first Geekbench 5 results of the A14 have been released, single-core 1583, multi-core 4198, still the king.

As shown in the picture, the so-called iPad 13.2 (iPad Air 4) with Apple's brand new A14 chip achieved a single-core score of 1583 and a multi-core score of 4198. Such test results are usually not important for Apple's advertising strategy.

iPad Air 4: A successful update

But there are fans who are very interested in it. The test also confirms Apple's announcement that the iPad Air 4 is around 40 percent faster than its predecessor. In addition, it can be roughly calculated what this means for the iPhone 12 series. According to the group, the new generation will be up to 19 percent more powerful in single-core and around 27 percent more powerful in multi-core compared to the iPhone 11 series. Since this is the first test result, it is to be expected that more reports of this kind will appear in the next few days or weeks. Due to these numerous innovations and the brand new design, the iPad Air 4 is not a slightly updated tabletOn the contrary, anyone who decides to do so will hardly regret their choice. Third generation users can think about upgrading with a clear conscience. (Photo by maxxyustas / Bigstockphoto)
