The Unicode Consortium today released the list of new emoji that will be coming with the Emoji 14 update. Below is an overview.

Like Emojipedia reported, the final list includes 37 new emoji and 75 new skin tones, for a total of 112 new emoji. The new faces include the melting face, the greeting face, the face with open eyes and hand over mouth, the face with the eye peeking out, the face with the slanted mouth, and the dotted face, while the new emojis include the lip biting face and the soap bubbles.

Emoji 14 will be released under an iOS 15 update

There are several new hand emojis, such as the heart hand, right hand, left hand, palm down hand, palm up hand, hand with index finger and thumb crossed, index finger pointing at the viewer, and an update to the handshake emoji. Additionally, a nest of eggs, an empty nest, an x-ray, and more are added. With Emoji Update 14 now set, Apple may add the whole thing in a future iOS update, so it's safe to assume the new faces will appear in a dot version of iOS 15. (Image via Emojipedia)

Apple devices here aren't test units for a fortnight but everyday tools: from the iPhone to the MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iMac through to the Apple Vision Pro, at least one device from nearly every product category is in daily use, many of them replaced annually. Every menu path in a guide is verified on the device before it goes live.
