Apple officially introduced the new software generation at WWDC 2023. The company has now released the fifth preview of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10 and macOS 14 Sonoma for registered developers.
iOS 17 and Co. are due to be released in the fall, at the same time as new hardware, such as the "iPhone 15", and will bring with them a multitude of new features and other improvements. As is to be expected with a milestone release, the changes are far-reaching and include everything from the home screen to the apps within the mobile operating system. Apple is continuing its push to protect users' privacy and security in the latest version. But until the new software is made available to all users, the individual updates go through a beta phase. Apple has now made the fifth version available to registered developers. What new features or changes have been made in the new version is not currently known.
