iOS 15.3 leak: Focus should be on bug fixes

Alanya, Turkey - April 7, 2021: Man hand with Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max Gold with app Activity Health on the screen.

The first beta of the upcoming iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 updates seems to have leaked, according to a new report. There are hardly any new features to be expected.

Both iOS 15.3 and iPadOS 15.3 will focus on bug fixes, performance improvements and security improvements, according to a report. reported Now the US blog MacRumors, which claims to have got its hands on a version, has done so. In terms of new features, the blog explains that these are very minor. For example, the wording of the newly introduced child safety features has been adjusted, small changes have been made to the Podcasts app, and a modified text has been added to the automatic download of magazines in Apple News+ for offline reading.

iOS 15.3 is supposed to fix bugs, improve stability and more

Although this is probably only the first of several betas, it suggests that the upcoming update will probably be smaller than some hope. Major innovations are therefore only to be expected under iOS 15.4 or iPadOS 15.4. Apple could also make changes to the user interface. As for Universal Control, it looks like the feature will not appear under macOS 12.2 and iPadOS 15.3. MacRumors believes that the feature will be introduced under iPadOS 15.4 with the associated macOS update. These versions are expected to be released in spring 2022. When the first beta for iOS 15.3 will be officially released remains unclear. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
