iOS 15.2 Beta: Apple TV app is being revised

Anapa, Russia - March 29, 2019: Man holding iPad Pro with Apple TV app provides streaming movies and cable channel on the screen.

Apple has now released the second beta of iOS 15.2 and Co. into the wild. Some interesting new features have been added. The Apple TV app has also been included.

The second beta of iOS 15.2 includes safety features for communicating with children in iMessage and the "Hide Emails" option in Apple's Mail app. Interestingly, today's beta also brings an updated design for the Apple TV app on iPad with a new sidebar. There's also now a dedicated Store tab in the app. The first thing iPad users will notice when they open the Apple TV app on their iPad is the new sidebar that replaces the tab bar at the bottom of the screen. There, users can find all sections of the Apple TV app, including Watch Now, Apple TV+ Originals, Library, and Search.

When will iOS 15.2 and Co. be released?

The sidebar looks the same as in other iPad apps that they already have, such as Music, Photos, and even Safari. iPhone and Mac users also get a new section for the Store in the Apple TV app with iOS 15.2 and macOS Monterey 12.1. Until now, the films and TV shows in the iTunes Store were merged with the content in the Apple TV app. As expected, the Store tab only shows what is available to buy or rent in the iTunes Store. It is currently not known when iOS 15.2 and Co. will be rolled out to all users. However, it is expected that Apple will release the new versions before Christmas.
