In iOS 14, iPadOS 14 and macOS 11 Big Sur, not only new features were implemented but existing apps were also expanded. Voice memos are also new.
Apple has launched a multitude of improvements and optimizations. The existing application for voice memos was also taken into account. This has been available on iPhone and iPad for a long time. However, the app only arrived on macOS in 2018. It is a Catalyst project, which is why the range of functions is the same. Apple says:
Voice Memos – Optimize Recordings
Voice Memos. The world's most popular audio recording app is getting new tools for organizing recordings. The brand-new "Optimize Recordings" feature lets you improve the sound quality of your recordings with a single tap.
One of the new features is called "Optimize Recordings." According to Apple, this function is designed to reduce background noise and room reverberation with a single touch. Once a recording is created, the user sees a small icon similar to the auto-adjust feature in the Photos app. Details about how this feature works are unclear, but Apple touts its simplicity. The feature could be particularly interesting for podcast creators who want to create their audio content directly on their iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Voice memos – well organized
Since newer devices have built-in studio-quality microphones, the expansion makes sense. Other new features include:
You can organize your voice memo recordings in folders.
Smart Folders – These automatically group Apple Watch recordings, recently deleted recordings, and favorites.
favorites – Mark recordings as favorites so you can quickly access them later.
improve recording – Enhance Recording reduces background noise and room reverberation with a single touch.
The new features are already available in the voice memo under the first beta version of iOS 14 and Co. So if you want to try it out, you can get started right away. AirPods Pro on special offer at Amazon – now available for 219 eurosch. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
