Apple is currently expected to officially unveil the small trackers called AirTags at WWDC 2020. Now a video has been released showing the range of sounds.
AirTags are small trackers that can be attached to various objects such as jackets, bags, and more and tracked using the "Find My" app. A post has now been published on Twitter containing a video with the AirTags' audio files. They come from a person who claims to have all the audio files Apple has prepared for the new accessory.
AirTags can provide haptic feedback
The files are presented in the video with different names for the different sounds, although only a few make their purpose clear, such as one for when an AirTag is nearby. In addition, the clip also reveals the file formats, including caf and .ahap. The .ahap format is the Apple Haptic and Audio Pattern file format. This discovery therefore suggests that the AirTags can provide haptic feedback in addition to sounds. Whether Cupertino will actually present the small trackers next week remains to be seen, of course - you can find out more about their functionality here. (Photo by SasinP / Bigstockphoto)
