Apple released iOS 13.5, iPadOS 13.5, iOS 12.4.7 and more just under a week ago. But has the security hole in emails also been closed?

When Apple released iOS 13.5 and Co. on May 20th. published Many fans were a bit confused. Was the serious security flaw in emails closed? After all, it was the number one topic of conversation for several weeks. Apple itself is silent on the matter – the reason could be macOS 10.15.5. Although Cupertino has not shared any information about it so far, security researchers now want to know the answer. ZecOps in a new blog post that Apple has completely fixed the security vulnerability in iOS 13.5, iPadOS 13.5 and iOS 12.4.7. According to the cyber security company, Apple had already made the fix in iOS 13.4.5, but this could not completely close the security vulnerability.

Security update database: “Details coming soon”

For this reason, Cupertino decided to take a different approach with iOS 13.5 to completely fix the security hole. ZecOps says it has simulated various attacks and has had no success. But why is Apple keeping quiet about this? The reason could be, as already mentioned above, macOS 10.15.5. The Mac update is still pending and should also close the hole. Apple may be waiting to roll out the update in order to then support database to update the app, which also documents any security holes that have been fixed. At least the note "Details coming soon" has been added. So anyone who wants to use the mail app again can do so with a clear conscience. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
