The HomePod mini has been available in selected countries since November 16th. Now reports are being documented that the new Siri speaker is having Wi-Fi problems.
The HomePod mini has been available in stores for a week now. Apple's small speaker is enjoying great popularity. But it appears to have a problem. There are currently increasing reports in Apple's support forum that the Wi-Fi connectivity is unreliable. There is also supposedly a workaround, but it only helps temporarily. Affected users report that their HomePod mini loses its internet connection, causing Siri to respond with the error message "I'm having trouble connecting to the internet." writes a member:
I'm having trouble with my HomePod mini not connecting to the internet. My other HomePods have no trouble when I ask a question etc. but when I ask one or both HomePod mini's it responds with: I'm having trouble connecting to the internet.
I followed the troubleshooting steps provided by Apple, but after a few hours, the message "I'm having trouble connecting to the internet" appears again. Then everything goes back to normal.

Further informationThe troubleshooting steps provided by Apple include restarting the mini speaker and even restoring the default settings. In both cases, the error reappears after a short time. Also on Reddit Posts have already been created addressing the problem. We also have two HomePod mini devices in use and have already observed the problem. However, it did not occur that often. Since the error seems to be widespread, Apple will certainly analyze the whole thing and fix it in a later update. However, no official statement has been published in this regard.
