Gravis extends battery exchange campaign

At the beginning of the year, Apple launched a battery replacement campaign for older devices after the CPU throttling became public.

At the end of 2017, the bombshell dropped - Apple had throttled the performance of older iPhones. Many accused the iCompany of being greedy for profit - but Apple acted for a different reason. The throttling was intended to extend the battery life of the devices and prevent sudden crashes. The error lay in communication. To make amends, Apple has launched a special battery replacement campaign - this officially expires on December 31, 2018.

Gravis goes into extra time

Due to the high demand, there are hardly any free appointments for repairs. Gravis has therefore decided to extend the battery replacement campaign - under one condition. Officially, the authorized repair partner wants to continue the offer until the end of March 2019. In order to take advantage of this, users must have made an appointment by the end of this year.

The qualified devices include the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and the iPhone X. The price for a battery replacement is 29 euros. After the promotion ends, the price will increase to 49 euros. The iPhone X is an exception - here the price is 69 euros. For devices with AppleCare+, there are no additional costs for a battery replacement.
