iPhone users who have family sharing and use WhatsApp or Facebook are currently facing a problem where they cannot open the respective application.
The latest WhatsApp (version 2.20.52) and Facebook (version 271.0) Update in the iOS App Store does not seem to work with family sharing. But users without the iCloud feature are also affected. Such an error message actually only appears when an app was downloaded via Family Sharing and the family member in question leaves “Family Sharing.” Whatever the case, both WhatsApp and Facebook are no longer usable. To solve the problem, simply delete and reinstall the applications. I can at least confirm this, as it happened to me too. Alternatively, the problem can also be resolved via the iOS settings. This means that those affected can offload the app in the Settings under General in the “iPhone Storage” section and then reload it. A friend confirmed this solution to me. So if you haven't installed the aforementioned updates yet, you should wait for a subsequent version. It can be assumed that the developers will provide an update for the update soon.
