Eve announces Matter updates for several products

Eve Systems has now officially announced an upcoming firmware update for three of its products that will integrate Matter.

The latest models of Eve Energy, Eve Motion and Eve Door & Window devices will receive a Matter firmware update on December 12th. Eve gives announced that Matter certification for these three products is complete and that they will receive firmware updates via the Eve app. With Matter support, every person in a household can access Eve products via their preferred smartphone or voice assistant.

Eve Systems promises Matter update

Eve says that all 14 Thread-enabled Eve devices will receive free Matter firmware updates over time, and that Matter-certified Eve products will be available for sale starting in the first quarter of 2023. The Eve app is currently only available for iOS devices, but an Android version is in the works and is set to launch in early 2023. Matter is a new smart home standard designed to improve interoperability between smart home devices so they work across multiple smart home platforms. Don't have any Eve products yet?
