The watchOS 8.4 Release Candidate version, which was distributed yesterday evening, fixes a bug that may cause some Apple Watch chargers to not work properly with the Apple Watch.
Last month we reported a growing number of charging issues reportedthat Apple Watch Series 7 owners have been facing. Since watchOS 8.3, there have been a number of complaints about third-party chargers not working as expected. For many users, the chargers refused to charge the Apple Watch Series 7 at all. Many of the reports focused on cheaper chargers from third-party retailers like Amazon.

But there have also been complaints about higher-end chargers. Some people even had problems with Apple's own Apple Watch charging pucks. According to Apple's watchOS 8.4 update description, the Software a bug that can cause some Apple Watch chargers to not work, suggesting that the charging problems will come to an end with the release of watchOS 8.4.
