The first tests of the new Apple Watch have already been presented. Now the specialists at iFixit are working on the circuit boards of the 4th generation of the Apple Watch.

In this case, the 44mm model with LTE was the one to suffer. When opening the watch, a larger battery and a hidden barometer were discovered. In general, the Series 4 shines with its compact design. The battery manages 291.8 mAh - the Series 3, in comparison, has 279 mAh. Overall, the interior is similar to its predecessors. Changes can only be seen deeper inside.

50 percent louder

In addition to the battery, the revised Taptic Engine also takes up a lot of space. The speaker now has more space and is therefore 50 percent louder overall. This was made possible by relocating the microphone.

For the first time, Apple has dispensed with adhesive and secured the S4 chip with screws. iFixit also found that the rear casing is easier to remove. The display is also thinner.
The repair specialists come to the conclusion that the battery can be quickly replaced in an emergency.

The repair rating was also rated by iFixit. The Apple Watch Series 4 received 6 out of a total of 10 possible points. The result is similar to the iPhone Xs models.
