Apple Watch – More freedom for users under watchOS 6

On the way to greater independence from the iPhone, the Apple Watch is getting a number of useful features – including its own App Store.

The Apple Watch is becoming more attractive every year. With the upcoming operating system, Apple not only wants to strengthen the health sector but also offer a range of new possibilities. watchOS 6 However, users should also have more freedom - according to the latest discovery. A particularly useful feature will be the deletion of pre-installed apps. Such applications can be removed directly from the Apple Watch and is similar to the principle of the iPhone. The user must therefore hold down an app on the home screen until the so-called "wiggle mode" is activated. A small "X" then appears above each app - a tap of the finger makes the respective application disappear.

Clues discovered in watchOS 6 beta

Of course, deleted apps can be downloaded again via the integrated app store. The option to delete apps allows users to create a little more storage space but also to better organize the overview of all existing applications. The apps that can be deleted include Walkie-Talkie, ECG, Camera Remote, Stopwatch and Timer. You can find the full list below.
