PARIS, FRANCE - SEPTEMBER 21, 2018: Apple fan boy unboxing latest new Apple Iphone Xs Max and Xs flagship smartphone mobile phone model from Apple Computers reading the instruction manual with white apple stickers

Apple, the innovative company from Cupertino, has made a notable change in its latest product range. The new iPad Pro and iPad Air models that have just been launched come in slightly different packaging. What's missing? The traditional Apple stickers. This move is part of Apple's efforts to achieve its environmental goals and make its packaging plastic-free. But what does this mean for the brand's fans and users?

In an internal memo addressed to Apple Store teams and obtained by 9to5Mac viewed Apple announces the elimination of stickers in the new iPad Pro and iPad Air. The reason for this is clear and ambitious: Apple wants to improve its environmental footprint. This decision marks another step towards responsible use of our planet's resources and shows how serious Apple is about its environmental commitments.

What does this mean for buyers?

changes in the purchasing process

If you're planning to buy one of the new iPad models, you should know that the stickers are no longer included automatically. However, Apple offers a solution: Apple Stores still have a limited number of stickers that you can get upon request when you buy an iPad Pro or iPad Air. This means that the availability of these stickers increasingly depends on demand and the decision of customers to explicitly request them.

exclusivity and availability

The stickers are now more exclusive than before and only available directly in Apple Stores - they will not be distributed to other retailers such as Amazon and Co. This exclusivity could make visiting a physical Apple Store more attractive and offers Apple another opportunity to strengthen direct customer relationships.

Long-term perspectives

The decision to remove stickers from the packaging raises questions about the future of other Apple products. While the MacBook Air M3 still contains stickers, they have already disappeared from the Apple Vision Pro. The community is already speculating whether this practice will be extended to upcoming products such as the iPhone 16.

Apple Stickers: What We Can Learn From Them

Apple's decision to remove stickers from the boxes of its latest iPads is more than just a change in the packing list - it's a signal that sustainability and environmental awareness are becoming increasingly important in the company's product strategy. For users, this represents a small change but also an opportunity to contribute directly to Apple's environmental initiative. Ultimately, time will tell how far Apple is willing to integrate its environmental goals into its product development and customer experience. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
