Apple released iOS 12.4.2 & watchOS 5.3.2 as well as macOS Mojave 10.14.6 this evening.
As is well known, Apple released the new iOS 13 released for all users - however, this update is not compatible with all devices. Older iPhone and iPad models will remain on iOS 12 - iOS 12.4.2 is intended for these users. It can be downloaded over-the-air as usual. TipTo do this, open the iOS settings and navigate to "General." Now you can tap the "Software Update" section and request the operating system update. What new features the update contains is currently unknown – it may be a security update for older iPhone and iPad models.
watchOS 5.3.2
Apple has simultaneously iOS 13 also the Apple Watch operating system watchOS 6 released - however, this is currently only available for users of an Apple Watch Series 3, 4 and 5. Although the first and second generation Apple Watch are also compatible with watchOS 6, owners of such a smartwatch still have to wait - the update has been announced for a later date. But until then, watchOS 5.3.2 is now available. Apple states that this update is an important security update - the update is therefore strongly recommended. It can be installed as usual via the Apple Watch application on the iPhone. TipStep 1: Place your Apple Watch on the charger and open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone. Now navigate to the "General" section and then tap "Software Update." Please note: Your Apple Watch must have at least 50 percent battery life.
macOS Mojave 10.14.6
macOS Mojave 10.14.6 was also released this evening. This update is also a security update - according to the release note.
The Mac update can be downloaded from Settings under "Software Update." The next macOS generation—macOS Catalina—is currently still in beta. According to Apple, the final version will be released sometime in October. (Photo by Olegkalina / Bigstockphoto)
