Apple has just introduced the second generation of its popular AirPods. The new earbuds come with the long-awaited wireless charging case, a new H1 chip, longer battery life and faster connections to devices. The new AirPods are now available for 229 euros with a wireless charging case. Alternatively, the plugs can also be purchased with the first generation charging case for 179 euros. AirPods 1 users can get the wireless charging case separately for 89 euros.

According to Apple, the new AirPods will offer 50 percent more talk time - this is made possible by the new H1 chip. In addition, switching devices should now be faster. The new AirPods also have the "Hey Siri" function for the first time, so that the wearer can trigger Siri commands using just their voice - as mentioned above, there is no need to double-tap. The wireless charging case works with all commercially available Qi chargers.
