The CPU is 40% faster, GPU performance has been improved by 30%, and machine learning performance has also increased thanks to a new neural engine. It also has True Tone and an anti-reflective coating as well as USB-C. The speaker system was also revised as part of the update.

The device supports the second generation Apple Pencil and the brand new Magic Keyboard. The device can be pre-ordered from October at a starting price of around 632.60 euros. It is currently unknown when the new iPad Air 4 will be delivered. In addition to the iPad Air 4, a new entry-level model - the iPad 8 - was also presented. While the predecessor had the A10 processor, the new version comes with the A12 chip. In terms of the casing, however, everything remained the same.
