Apple released the sixth beta of iOS 14 and Co. yesterday evening. The beta phase has now moved into the weekly update rhythm.
Apple has released the sixth preview of iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 for registered developer rolled out. The new versions contain improvements and further bug fixes. The further the beta phase progresses, the fewer new features are added. This is no different this time. Overall, very little new has been implemented. But beta testers can now look forward to a very special feature - Spatial Audio for the AirPods Pro. Below we have listed all the new features in the sixth beta of iOS 14.
iOS 14: Spatial Audio with a catch
clock app – The current iOS 14 version has made a small visual change to the clock app. The area where users can set the alarm is now framed in orange. This is probably intended to signal that users can interact with it.
Spatial Audio – The "Spatial Audio" feature is set to enhance the AirPods Pro in iOS 14. Specifically, it's a feature that creates surround sound. Apple describes the feature as follows:
When Follow iPhone is enabled, audio-enabled movies and TV shows sound like they're coming from your iPhone instead of following your head movements.
Apple has now implemented the feature. It can be controlled in the iOS settings under "Accessibility" in the "AirPods" section. The "Follow iPhone" feature is enabled by default. But beware: Although the menu item has been added and is activated, the feature cannot yet be used.

welcome screen in Maps – There’s a new welcome screen in Apple Maps that informs users about new features, including bike directions, curated travel guides, and support for speed cameras.
If there are any further changes, we will report on them as usual. If you want to test iOS 14 yourself, you will find comprehensive instructions on how to run the official iOS 14 public beta below. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
