Eleven new releases are confirmed between September and November – four series and seven films. These include the return of Slow Horses, Ryan Reynolds in a Cold War film, and the second season of the service's only German-language original production.

Summer belonged to Ted Lasso: The fourth season has been airing since the beginning of August and sends the coach to work with a women's team. Apple has now largely announced the release dates for what comes next. This overview compiles all the confirmed start dates for September, October, and November – along with information on which of these are particularly relevant for German-speaking viewers. The current summer titles are still listed in the overview of the August lineup.

Key Facts at a Glance

  • Eleven new releases are scheduled between September 4th and November 25th.
  • September brings four titles on a weekly basis, including Slow Horses Season 6 on September 16th.
  • In October, the second season of Apple's only German-language production, "Where is Wanda?", will begin.
  • Two mountaineering stories will be released in October: a K2 documentary and the Everest drama "Tenzing".„
  • Apple plans to announce further dates in the coming weeks – the list is not yet complete.

September: Four starts every week

The series kicks off on September 4th with "Mayday." Ryan Reynolds plays a naval pilot who crashes over Soviet territory during the Cold War and ends up with a former KGB agent, played by Kenneth Branagh. The trailer was released in July.

Five days later, "Last Seen" follows, starring Patrick Brammall as a police officer whose daughter disappeared without a trace eleven years ago. A distress call leads him to believe he has found her.

Perhaps the most anticipated premiere of the month is the sixth season of Slow Horses, starting on September 16th. Gary Oldman returns as Jackson Lamb, who runs a backwater branch of the British Secret Service. First images from the new season were released back in June.

At the end of the month, on September 23rd, "Brothers" will be released. Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson play fictionalized versions of themselves who discover they might actually be brothers – the comedy was announced in June.

October: The densest month

Five new releases make October the busiest month of autumn. The double feature on mountaineering is particularly noteworthy: On October 2nd, the documentary "The Last First: Winter K2" will be released, chronicling the attempt to be the first to summit K2 in winter. Two weeks later, the drama "Tenzing" will follow, focusing on Tenzing Norgay, who, along with Edmund Hillary, was the first to reach the summit of Everest in 1953. Tom Hiddleston plays Hillary, and Willem Dafoe portrays expedition leader John Hunt.

In between, on October 9th, is "Matchbox The Movie" with John Cena – a film adaptation of Mattel's toy cars that turns into an international chase.

The month concludes on October 30th with "Nocturne," starring Liev Schreiber as an investigator facing a serial killer. The series is based on a novel by Lars Kepler.

"Where is Wanda?" is the date for German-speaking viewers

The second season of "Where's Wanda?" premieres on October 21st. This dark comedy is the first and so far only German-language series produced by Apple itself, and comes from UFA Fiction.

The eight episodes will be released weekly on Wednesdays, running until December 9th. Returning cast members include Heike Makatsch and Axel Stein as the Klatt parents, Lea Drinda as their daughter Wanda, and Leo Simon and Nikeata Thompson. The first season premiered in October 2024 and revolved around a couple who bugged half of their suburban neighborhood in an attempt to find their missing daughter.

The weekly release schedule is the practically relevant point here: Anyone wanting to watch the entire season in one go will have to wait until mid-December. For a subscription that can be cancelled monthly, the series is therefore spread over three billing periods.

How much the autumn program costs

Apple TV costs €9.99 per month in Germany, with a monthly cancellation option and no ad-supported alternative. Those who use multiple Apple services are usually better off with the Apple One bundle.

The eleven new releases are spread over three months – meaning a continuous subscription costs just under €30 for the entire autumn. Those who are selective can bundle the release dates: October alone covers five of the eleven titles, and the series continue to air on a weekly basis anyway.

This season, the program also includes sports. All Major League Soccer games, including the Leagues Cup, are included in the subscription at no extra cost; the previous MLS Season Pass has been discontinued.

How does autumn compare to last year?

Eleven scheduled titles in three months is a full, but not exceptional, lineup for Apple TV. The shift towards films is striking: seven of the eleven releases are feature films or documentaries, only four are series. For a service whose reputation is built on series like Severance, Ted Lasso, and Slow Horses, this noticeably alters the focus.

For you as a subscriber, this means a different usage pattern: movies can be watched in one evening, while series can keep you occupied for weeks. Those who use their subscription strategically will find the best balance in October – five new releases, including two series that will continue into December.

The list is also not yet complete. Apple has announced that more dates will be added in the coming weeks. Among the titles currently affected are those that were announced earlier this year but do not yet have a release date.

Apple TV in Fall 2026 – the most important information at a glance

September belongs to the series, with Slow Horses as the main draw. October, with five new releases, is the busiest month and features the only German-language premiere, "Where's Wanda?". November concludes with two films. The current lineup for the month is available as usual in the monthly overview, and the complete fall list will continue to grow as Apple confirms the remaining releases.
