This evening, Apple gave the first users access to its new gaming service Apple Arcade.
The new Apple Arcade service will be officially available to all users from September 19th - that is the day that iOS 13 will be released, among other things. But now Apple seems to have decided on a pre-launch. Some users report that they can already take out a subscription to Apple Arcade - but the prerequisite for this seems to be the current iOS 13.1 Beta or iOS 13 Golden Master. The lucky ones include not only registered developers but also voluntary beta testers - but so far this does not seem to be the case across the board. If you are one of the chosen few, you should see a new button called "Try for free" in the App Store under Apple Arcade. After the registration process is complete, you can start searching for new games.
The games are divided into different categories - similar to the App Store. Once you have decided on a title, you can download it directly. Whether you have an iPhone, iPad, Mac or Apple TV - participating games have no advertising or in-app purchases. The game status is saved in the iCloud and synchronized with other devices - a seamless transition is thus guaranteed. Apple Arcade will be available in over 150 countries from September 19th. The gaming service can be subscribed to for 4.99 euros - a free trial month and family sharing are also included. (Image: Apple)
