Instagram also has news to announce today – after removing the stalking feature and adding dark mode and a new phishing defense feature, the story is now getting something new.

Instagram has introduced a new feature called “Create” in the story functionality area. According to the new “Create” mode, several buttons have been integrated that are intended to make it easier for users to post stories without their own images – this is reported TechCrunch. A completely new feature - based on an existing function is "On this day". Users can use this tab to select a random feed post that they shared on the same calendar day in the past directly in their story. The function is primarily intended to make access to the archive easier - so it is a further development. In addition to the "On this day" button, there are of course other useful tabs. Users have options such as "GIF", "Countdown", "Quiz", "Survey", "Questions" and "Answers" at their disposal - all of these existing stickers can be shared in your own story directly from the new "Creation mode" without an additional photo etc. Instagram describes the new feature as follows:

"This new mode allows you to combine interactive stickers, drawings and text without the need for a photo or video to share. 'On This Day' suggests memories and lets you share them via Direct and Stories."

The new mode can be accessed directly from the story itself. To do this, open the “Post to your story” section and swipe from left to right at the bottom of the screen to get to the “Create” section. From here you can access the stickers mentioned above and corresponding suggestions directly. Do you have an Instagram account? Then leave a subscription there – we look forward to seeing you.
