To avoid potential litigation, the project was renamed. The second name change was for personal reasons: Steinberger preferred the new name.
OpenClaw brought greater visibility to the project. Its central message was to develop an AI "that actually does something". This meant a system that goes beyond simply outputting text and actively takes on tasks.

OpenClaw promises concrete actionable insights. The system is designed to, among other things:
