Apple TV achieved a major success at the 2026 Grammy Awards. Out of a total of four nominations, one entry from F1: The Movie won a Grammy. This continues the film's string of successes and once again underscores Apple TV's role as a platform for award-winning film and music productions.
Back in November of last year, the Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 2026 Grammy Awards. Apple TV was represented multiple times. The selection quickly revealed that F1: The Movie and its musical score were among the strongest productions of the year. The Grammy awarded now confirms this assessment.
Apple TV with four Grammy nominations
Apple TV received a total of four nominations in different categories for the 2026 Grammy Awards:
- Best Dance-Pop Recording: Just Keep Watching from F1® The Movie by Tate McRae
- Best Country Solo Performance: Bad As I Used To Be from F1® The Movie by Chris Stapleton
- Best compilation soundtrack for visual media: F1® The Album
- Best film score for visual media (film and television): Severance: Season 2 by composer Theodore Shapiro
This range shows that Apple TV has a strong presence in both the music and TV series and film sectors.
Chris Stapleton wins Grammy
The only win out of these four nominations went to Chris Stapleton's "Bad As I Used To Be." The song won the Grammy for Best Country Solo Performance. Stapleton himself was unable to attend the awards ceremony. Instead, his fellow musician Sierra Hull accepted the award on his behalf.
F1: The Movie continues to collect awards
The Grammy win marks the 15th award of the season for F1: The Movie, making it one of the most awarded productions of the year. At the same time, attention is growing ahead of the upcoming Academy Awards, where the film is nominated in several major categories.
- Best film of the year
- Best sound
- Best visual effects
- Best film editing
These nominations solidify the film's status as a serious contender in the current awards season.
Apple TV and streaming service response
Apple TV responded to the Grammy win with an official post on X, publicly acknowledging the victory. The success is seen as further proof of the streaming service's creative focus.
The Apple TV streaming service is currently available for €9.99 per month. In addition to F1: The Movie, the service also includes well-known series and films such as Pluribus, Severance, The Studio, The Morning Show, Shrinking, and Silo.
Tailwind for F1: The Movie ahead of the Oscars
The Grammy win for Best Country Solo Performance is further proof of Apple TV's success at combining film and music. F1: The Movie continues to add to its list of accolades and heads into the upcoming Oscars with momentum. For Apple TV, this success further validates its strategy of focusing on high-quality, award-winning content. (Image: Apple)
